Paul P. Makarechian

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Makarechian founded Makar Properties, LLC in 2001. Over that time, Mr. Makarechian has developed a nationally recognized, diversified real estate company.

Mr. Makarechian is a graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In addition, Mr. Makarechian is an active participant and board member of a myriad of charitable, social and educational institutions, including Young President's Organization, Generation Next and Miocean.

Peter Ciaccia

Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Ciaccia manages all investment and capital initiatives. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Ciaccia has managed investments across a range of banking and capital markets areas, including real estate, work-outs, asset securitization, project financing, structured leasing and restructuring.

Mr. Ciaccia is a graduate of the MBA program at The Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. In addition, Mr. Ciaccia is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Benefit Committee of The Orphaned Starfish Foundation.

Douglas Kiel

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Kiel is responsible for all operations, accounting and finance functions. Mr. Kiel has over 20 years of financial, accounting and operations management experience in both public and private firms encompassing a range of disciplines that include corporate and project business planning, management of large accounting and finance departments and cash-flow management of complex projects, partnerships and corporations.

Mr. Kiel is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In addition, Mr. Kiel is an active member of Urban Land Institute and the California State Receivership Forum.
